The 2014 Polar Bear Plunge benefiting special olympics was a huge success! 36 BETA Chapter members registered to plunge and raised over $4,600.00!!!
We met in front of the Rehoboth Beach site-- the day was positively balmy at 59 degrees! The water temp was another story- a cool 34 degrees!
Waiting on the beach with great anticipation...
We weren't alone- this year has a record turnout!
For some of our PGMers- this was a bucket list item-- but it was so much fun they've promised to return next year.
Wilmu's presence is noticeable on the beach...
This happy face is proof positive that jumping into the frigid Atlantic is a wonderful, happy experience!
Thank goodness we have supporters willing to hand out warming hugs :).
