Spring 2014 Induction- Faculty Members Inducted

The 2014 induction ceremony was also thrilled to induct 4 new faculty members! 

 Ms. Kelly C.  is the Adjunct Program Coordinator for Psychology in New Castle. 

 Dr. Lem B. is the new Assistant Chair of Behavioral Science and Psychology in Brandywine. 

 Mr. Glenn F. is the Adjunct Program Coordinator for Behavioral Science in New Castle. 

Congratulations to each of them! No doubt, Pi Gamma Mu members will see them in Pi Gamma Mu meetings throughout the year!

March 2014 Induction Ceremony

The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences inducted 49 new members into the Delaware BETA Chapter of Pi Gamma Mu International on March 7, 2014. 

Delaware BETA Chapter members are known for their service along with their scholarship. New inductees are required to support the Polar Bear Plunge and perform service hours to a cause of their choice. Members report that through their service hours they learn how satisfying it is to be of service to others.

The Delaware BETA Chapter members are growing in size, and many are actively involved in various Wilmington University Alumni Chapters.

Polar Bear Plunge 2014

The 2014 Polar Bear Plunge benefiting special olympics was a huge success! 36 BETA Chapter members registered to plunge and raised over $4,600.00!!!

We met in front of the Rehoboth Beach site-- the day was positively balmy at 59 degrees! The water temp was another story- a cool 34 degrees!

Waiting on the beach with great anticipation...

We weren't alone- this year has a record turnout!

For some of our PGMers- this was a bucket list item-- but it was so much fun they've promised to return next year. 

Wilmu's presence is noticeable on the beach...

This happy face is proof positive that jumping into the frigid Atlantic is a wonderful, happy experience!

Thank goodness we have supporters willing to hand out warming hugs :). 

January 2014 Commencement

 Commencement is always such a happy time! It's great to see so many BETA Chapter members walking in their caps and gowns...

Rick was inducted into PGM as an undergraduate, and proudly wears his cords as he is soon graduating from our AHS program.
